New Ulm is located at the intersection of U.S. Highway 14 (running east
and west) and MN Highway 15 (running north and south. Interstate I 90
is a short 40 miles away to the south and U.S. Highway 169 is only 25
miles to the east.
The New Ulm Municipal Airport features a 4,400’ paved runway with
GPS and NDB approaches. New Ulm Flight Service offers charter flights
and priority freight 24 hours a day 365 days a year.
Rail service is provided by the DM&E Railroad. DM&E can ship
goods to an part of the world.
New Ulm is home to a number of large trucking companies. The largest
of which is J&R Schugel Trucking. J&R Schugel Trucking, Inc.
is a truckload carrier of general commodities. Headquartered in New
Ulm, MN, J&R Schugel owns 600 power units and approximately 850
